Créé en 2004 par l’auteur-compositeur et guitariste pivot François Dufault, The Blue Seeds est désormais composé de six membres et trouve un brillant équilibre alliant jeunesse et parcours bien jalonné: Jean-Sébastien Brault-Labbé (batterie, choeurs), Martin Farmer (basse), Amélie Laflamme (voix, piano, mélodica), Roger Miron (guitare) et Eric Rathé (claviers). Le groupe met une forte emphase sur l’écriture et la composition dans le but de créer des œuvres durables. Au fil du temps, il est parvenu à se définir un univers sonore singulier à la fois tordu comme un bon Lynch et raffiné comme un Wenders.

Formed in 2004, by songwriter and guitarist François Dufault, The Blue Seeds is now comprised of a mix of 6 up-and-coming and well established musicians: Jean-Sébastien Brault-Labbé (drums, back vocals), Martin Farmer (bass), Amélie Laflamme (vocals, piano, melodica), Roger Miron (guitar) and Eric Rathé (keys). 

The band’s main focus is on writing and arranging songs in a way that time wouldn’t know how to make obsolete. With time, The Blue Seeds has also succeeded in creating its own unique soundscape that is as mysterious as a David Lynch movie and as refined as Wim Wenders’ picture.
